Non-verbal intelligence as a means of forming the basic competences of older preschool children with cochlear implants

The article reveals and details the main principles, directions and components of non verbal intelligence as a key tool that forms the main competences of older preschool children with cochlear implants as a formative part of psychological support. The author characterized the scientific novelty of the publication, which consists in the development of an effective system for the formation of basic competencies of older preschool children with cochlear implants, which is implemented through three interrelated directions: communicative, emotional, and social competence. The publication analyzes and systematizes the research of modern foreign and Ukrainian scientists, the main provisions are laid down as the basis of the theoretical part of the study of older preschool children with cochlear implants. The work is based on a structural functional approach and uses a number of auxiliary theoretical research methods, such as analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization, comparison, empirical method, observation. The author defined and outlined the features of the formation of basic competencies in children of older preschool age. In accordance with the set goal, the specifics and the essence of the formation of basic competencies in older preschool children with cochlear implants are outlined. The tasks helped the author: to unravel the essence of the system of formation of communicative, emotional and social competences in older preschoolers with CI; to analyze the peculiarities of communicative, emotional and social competences in older preschoolers with CI at the early stages of their development under the influence of specially organized psychological support; to provide methodical, practical recommendations on the use of game exercises to create adaptive psychological conditions for the successful integration into society of children with cochlear implants, by using non verbal intelligence as a tool for development and correction of defined competencies. The conclusions emphasize that non verbal intelligence, as a tool for the formation of basic competencies in older preschool children with cochlear implants, should be considered through the prism of such aspects as: first, as a professional activity of a psychologist capable of providing help and support; secondly, as a process containing a complex of targeted, consistent psychological actions that help an older preschooler with cochlear implants to make an independent choice when solving tasks; thirdly, as a phenomenon. that ensure the self realization of the individual, stabilize the emotional sphere of the individual, willpower, contribute to the formation of skills to solve current life situations.
