Abstract

The article considers the possibilities of work with
gifted, science-capable students implementation in
practice within the specialized scientific education
framework, publishing deployment activities and
functioning of the student electronic open access scientific
journal on the Open Journal System platform. It is noted
that the use of electronic open journal system Open Journal
System in education opens new opportunities for gifted
students’ resources consolidation, research activities
coordination, creates conditions for intellectual, spiritual
and scientific-creative development, thereby increasing
the scientific potential of the country. Along with this,
the presence of negative processes (false information
dissemination, public opinion manipulation, information
wars and information extremism, patostreaming, the
spread of non-compliance with scientific ethics cases,
etc.), that directly or indirectly affects the younger
generation’s consciousness, which today actually "lives"
in a virtual world, is pointed out. It is noted that these
potentially dangerous trends are related to the openness
of the information space, the intensity and global nature
of the society informatization, the lack of balanced
administration of the open information environment, and
students’ lack of life and academic experience does not
always allow to identify the unscrupulous manifestations
of some publications, acting as negative trends carriers.
All this complicates the work on attracting intellectually
gifted youth to the deployment and functioning of the
open access student electronic scientific journal on the
platform Open Journal System and requires from the
modern scientific community the coordination of joint
efforts in the relevant direction. Accordingly, the article
proposes the pedagogical conditions to successfully
implement in practice the work with intellectually gifted
students on the activities for the publishing development
and the functioning of the open access student electronic
scientific journal on the Open Journal System platform.
