Innovative Processes in Modern Professional Training of Artists of Decorative and Applied Art

Abstract

The article is focused on the modernization of professional
training of future artists of decorative and applied arts by
means of ethnic design and digital design (digital computer
design).
The concept of design, folk arts and crafts, creative
industry of ethnic design, ethnic design, taking into account
the Law of Ukraine “On Folk Arts and Crafts”, as well
as a new concept of digital ethnodesign, are revealed in
the article. The direction of ethnodesign development
is determined – from Ukrainian baroque to futuristic
minimalism.
The experience of organizing arts and crafts by the
German Chamber of Crafts is presented. The initiative of
craft chambers to organize an international program of
training and project practice is highlighted.
The information on the formation of the Chamber of
Crafts of Ukraine, the innovative program iAtelier, which
is focused on educational and project practice, is given.
The goals of the iAtelier program have been formulated.
The integration of the most modern technologies of digital
design and encouragement of innovative forms of creativity
in handicrafts and industrial practice is envisaged. The
types of digital graphics programs are listed.
Participation in the innovation program was offered to
Ukrainian specialists with craft skills and requirements for
program participants were formulated. It is recommended
that project groups of institutions of higher art education
develop a specialization “Art of Multimedia” (game
graphics, animation, video and interactive advertising) in
specialty 023 “Fine Arts, Decorative Arts, Restoration”.
Such specialization has a huge potential to attract
stakeholders interested in digital technologies of arts and
crafts.
