Abstract

The article represents an attempt at terminological and conceptual reflection of the phenomenon of giftological tendency. The giftological tendency is interpreted as the orientation of the situation of the development of the individual's higher abilities, the vector of the context of the interaction of factors and elements that lead to the formation of a version of their association identified as giftedness. It reflects the state of the most valuable social resource – giftedness. The giftological tendency originates from the mechanism of natural selection, from such a constituent part of it as the mechanism of perfectimity, the germ of which appeared as one of the tools in the system of tools of evolution. The world owes all forms of gradual improvement and polishing of the organization of nature and society precisely to the work of the mechanism of perfectimity. From the germ of the mechanism of perfectimity comes the giftological tendency and its evolutionary crown - higher human abilities, giftedness. Giftological tendency is a descendant of natural selection. It represents a trend of innovative processes and results.

The essence of any innovation is perfectionism: the desire for improvement embodied in the result. It forms the core of the giftological tendency, the content of which consists of the processes of development of higher human abilities and their application to solve the problems of the existence of the species, improving the functioning of society and improving the life of every human individual. At the same time, the giftological tendency performs the function of an informative mechanism, which contains markers of both the development of society as a whole and the actual functional role and state of its constituent parts, such as elite communities. The analysis of trends in the development and functioning of society shows that it is one of the determining processes in the functioning of elite communities. This, in particular, is manifested in their attitude to giftedness as a manifestation of individual and social functioning, in their assessment of the place it should occupy in the functioning of society and individual elites, its specific weight in the system of interactions between elites, the search and finding of optimal models of such interaction, overcoming contradictions and inter-elite conflicts, creating conditions under which the potential of giftedness works for the development of society according to the parameters of maximum efficiency. The state of the giftological tendency in elite communities and society as a whole is mostly hidden, not articulated, but an important criterion for assessing the state of affairs in their functioning and development. Such a state is a litmus test that reveals the essence of what society and its elite communities are like.

Identification of the state of social resources of giftedness and the giftological tendency that reflects it is the content of one of the urgent problems of the science of giftedness.
