At the current stage of the development of secondary education, competence-oriented training is a priority, which requires new approaches to the technology of conducting a lesson. Among the innovative forms of training, training lessons or lessons with training elements have recently been noted. The training “ensures the effective use of various pedagogical methods due to the creation of a positive emotional atmosphere and is aimed at obtaining formed skills and life competencies” (Shorobura, Tkachenko, 2019).
First of all, the modern lesson is aimed at the practical application of the program material, which prompts the biology teacher to find the most effective forms of organizing the educational process, introducing into the lesson elements of research and students’ creative search for solutions to current problems in the field of biology.
The article presents the authors’ development of training lesson plans on the topic “Diversity of animals: Insects” from the 7th-grade biology course. It is shown that the use of training teaching technology increases the levels of success of students in biology, contributes to the activation of their cognitive activity, the creation of a positive atmosphere for work in class, and the satisfaction of schoolchildren from completing educational tasks. The authors indicate that interactive tasks and exercises are the most attractive for schoolchildren, and the most interesting task is the creation of a didactic fairy tale. Such types of work during the training lesson activate the creative imagination of schoolchildren, evoke vivid associations with natural objects, contribute to involuntary memorization of program material and the formation of subject competencies in biology. So, training learning technologies cause a positive attitude of students to studying biology, form experience of interpersonal relations, and contribute to the mastery of group work skills, which is necessary for the formation of key competencies of schoolchildren.
