The article presents the interim results of the project “Scientific and methodological support for the creation of an open access electronic journal for the publication of the results of the scientific activities of students of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” for the implementation of the program of joint activities of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine for 2021–2023. The results of the deployment of the OJS open journal system are presented, the uniqueness of the publication model of the electronic edition is described, and the chosen publication model is justified. The application of gamification during the development of the publishing activity of young researchers, which involves the involvement of students in the doubleblind review procedure, is argued.
The article describes the NEO LMS application scenario, which involves the active use of gamification during training. During gamification, groups were created in which students received points, badges and certificates for completing certain tasks. It was also possible to visualize the leaderboard, which supports the competitive spirit. In general, gamification was based on the functioning of a number of developed rules that allow determining the criteria for assigning certain points, badges or certificates. It has been established that the creation of an open electronic magazine of student youth will significantly increase the level of publishing activity of students, popularize scientific activity among students, increase the social status of students, ensure the creation and further filling of email. Portfolio of a future scientist. Thus, according to the author, general scientific competencies are being formed and developed, and the electronic edition can be used by teachers as an additional tool for finding and supporting gifted student youth.
