Educational Internet Resources as Means of Increasing Children’s Motivation to Develop Their own Giftedness

Abstract

The article considers the possibilities of using educational Internet resources in order to increase children’s
motivation to develop their own giftedness. The authors
argue that in conditions of excessive passion for entertainment in the real and virtual worlds, it is possible to
increase motivation to realize child’s creative potential
by supporting interest in the essence of the educational
material in every possible way. To provide a gifted child
with the opportunity to continuously work with educational material of appropriate complexity and volume, the
educational materials’ thematic databases creation based
on educational Internet resources will help. The article
presents an interactive poster developed by the authors,
the content and material organization method of which is
aimed at introducing children to the concept of "hospitality" in the Ukrainian mentality context. By studying the
theoretical material presented in various forms and performing various game tasks, younger schoolchildren form
a holistic and versatile idea of the hospitality essence as
one of our people’s greatest virtues. The teacher can use
the presented interactive poster to prepare for lessons in
full-time, mixed or remote form, as well as a basis for
creating a virtual notebook.
The authors also note the expediency of creating and
widely promoting electronic information and practical integrated resources on popular science topics. Such complexes should be easily accessible and should not distract
the child from reality, but, on the contrary, pay his/her
attention to the real world, contributing to the success of
the most important task: raising a socially oriented gifted
person.
