Abstract

The article emphasises the need to fnd tools for creating modern digital knowledge bases that would contain classifcations of concepts, essences of scientifc categories in the educational environment, especially in the digital one. Practice proves that the use of digital educational systems creates prerequisites for the formation of such qualities of student thinking as a tendency to experiment, flexibility, coherence, and structure. It is noted that one of the promising areas for further improvement of digital educational systems is the development of methodological and logical foundations for designing on the basis of computer ontologies, based on which the user is provided with a holistic, systematic overview of a particular subject area - conceptualisation of a particular feld of knowledge, by identifying basic objects and the links between them. When using software and digital tools in students' educational and research activities, we take into account the fact that the volume and variety of data and messages for different knowledge profles are now so large that it is necessary to classify them in terms of belonging to subject areas or areas of interest of all participants in the educational process. It has been determined that the ontological approach ensures the effective design of digital knowledge base components, acts as an effective mechanism that reflects a certain theory, presented as a set of terms, relationships between them, related descriptions and formal axioms, which facilitates the interpretation and sharing of these terms.
