ETHICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH
The Editorial Policy is based on the principles of respect for the rights of survey participants; therefore, providing information in the article regarding informed consent and anonymity is considered an essential element of the scientific architecture of the text. By submitting a manuscript containing the results of surveys or interviews, the authors guarantee compliance with ethical standards, bearing personal responsibility for the legality of the research conducted, and certify adherence to confidentiality, anonymity, and the prevention of any forms of discrimination or pressure.
Authors must ensure that informed consent for the publication of results has been properly obtained and guarantee compliance with legal requirements, including the Law of Ukraine “On the Protection of Personal Data” dated June 1, 2010, No. 2297-VI. For research involving human subjects or the use of their personal data, it is mandatory to include a statement in the text regarding the ethical approval obtained from the local ethics committee (bioethics committee) of the institution where the research was conducted, as confirmation of the high quality of the material. The ethicality of the conducted research must be duly justified and, where possible, supported by references to international professional standards and codes.
Research involving the use of animals or their biological materials must be conducted in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Protection of Animals from Cruelty” dated February 21, 2006, No. 3447-IV, and international principles.
The act of submitting a manuscript to the editorial board constitutes automatic confirmation by the authors of their compliance with all the aforementioned ethical requirements and the availability of necessary permits from the institutional ethics committees. The Editorial Board reserves the right to request copies of the relevant ethical conclusions/permits during the peer-review stage. The ethicality of the research must be properly justified and supported by references to international professional standards (specifically the Declaration of Helsinki, COPE, and WAME codes).
The Editorial Board respects limitations related to confidentiality, legal, or ethical aspects and does not require the disclosure of data that could harm the research subjects; however, it insists on transparency regarding the methodology of obtaining consent.
