Abstract

Education plays an important role in the development of countries and societies, as it is a source of scientific and technical progress, it is thanks to education that the young generation of its citizens is formed. In connection with the beginning of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, many obstacles appeared for the implementation of educational functions (damaged and destroyed educational institutions, mass resettlement of school-age children to the West of Ukraine and abroad, psychological stress of citizens of all age categories, stay children and teachers near or in the war zone, in temporarily occupied territories, etc.). The need to renew the activities of the general education system led to the emergence of new forms and means of its implementation, which led to the emergence of numerous innovations. The analysis of educational innovations during the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine is of interest in many aspects - historical and pedagogical studies, professional training of teachers, sociological research, etc. Based on the theoretical research on the criteria for defining innovations and the signs of educational innovations, we singled out innovations that, in our opinion, will have further practical use, including the process of post-war development of the country. First of all, this is a scheme of training formats proposed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for those seeking education during the war; psychological help (recommendations, exercises for children and adults), in the form of short videos and podcasts posted on educational sites that can be used online; educational hubs and centers for students of diffe ent age categories. A special feature of the mentioned educational innovations was their rapid implementation. While the application of other innovations requires time for their approval and implementation, the innovations of the war period have already satisfied the demands of the community and outlined the vector of their (innovations) further development.

To test the theoretical reasoning, a sociological survey was conducted, which was supposed to confir or refute the previous conclusions. The survey was conducted online using a Google form. With the help of several questions, it was found out which innovations were used by the respondents during the war, which requests were satisfied by the innovations and which of their characteristics were most in demand. The answers obtained as a result of the survey confirmed the conclusions that were made based on the results of the theoretical analysis. This just proves that the described innovations are real innovations.
