Abstract

The content of the article represents an attempt to analyze the possibility of extracting from the common implicit and expressed ways of recognizing giftedness, which have developed and are used spontaneously in empirical social practice, the principles of scientifically proven and substantiated identification. A positive assumption about the realism of such a possibility is based on the idea of interaction between the empirical natural and scientific spheres of giftedness identification. This interaction is carried out, according to the author, thanks to the work of the mechanism of mutual infiltration of content, the effect of which is that the means of detection and evaluation of giftedness, which are used in the field of scientific identification, are developed on the basis of empirical information that was infiltrated from the field of non scientific spontaneous identification, and those methods used in this field have undergone and are undergoing changes under the influence of content infiltration from the field of scientific identification. The extraction of information about methods of recognizing giftedness from the field of non scientific experience is considered as a method of scientific research, the purpose of which is to verify the potential of their reliability and study the possibility of using them as scientifically based indicators of giftedness. The article contains a list of tools that are spontaneously used in the empirical practice of giftedness recognition and the extraction of which is important for their scientific analysis and processing. The list of these tools includes: empirical ideas and concepts; scientific concepts and definitions that have infiltrated the field of empirical identification of giftedness; empirical formulas for identification of giftedness; empirical, typologically – differential schemes for identification of giftedness; empirical criteria and indicators for identification of giftedness; empirical implicit or conscious images of the limits of giftedness; empirical implicit principles of identification of giftedness; empirical methods of identifying giftedness; popularized diagnostic techniques for identifying giftedness. Among the indicators of giftedness, which have a significant scientific potential, and with respect to which an act of extraction can be carried out based on a critical examination of part of the processes of spontaneous identification of giftedness, are the principles of its identification. The principles of identification of giftedness are interpreted as general theoretical and methodological guidelines, the observance of which ensures the possibility of achieving the effect of reliable identification of giftedness. Their systematic application, i.e. application according to the full list and in the set of associative connections between them, is the basis for developing means of systemic, and therefore relevant to the nature of giftedness, its identification.
