The author tells us about the high achievements of
Anastasia Dolia in the section “The young writer of
Western Donbass”. She is a pupil of Pavlograd secondary school No. 9 and the winner of the national and
international intellectual creative competitions, the
Ukrainian language and literature competitions. Anastasia took part in the national Ukrainian competitiondefence of research works of the Minor Academy of
Sciences of Ukraine (2019/2020 – II stage, I place)
(Department of Linguistics, section “The Ukrainian
language”), the national Ukrainian Olympiads of the
Ukrainian language and literature. She won local, regional and national Ukrainian stages of the International Language and Literature Competitions named
after Taras Shevchenko; the national Ukrainian Competitions of Written Creative Works (essays) on the
topic “Health. Everyone’s Choice” and Volodymyr
Maniak and Lydia Kovalenko’s International Competition of Scientific and Artistic Works.
The article shows the gradual development of talent and self-awareness as a creative person. The author
states the girl’s interest in literary activities and learning
the history of her family, the Motherland. All these caused
the creation of the girl’s first collection of memoirs “The
Paths of Fate”. She researched the history of Ukrainian
people from the Holodomor of 1933 to nowadays according to the Kuliks and Shubenkos’ lives. Her prose and
poetic works reveal the formation of fortitude, courage,
steadfastness as the main features of the Ukrainians, the
readiness to sacrifice for the interests of compatriots and
Motherland. The characters of her works are realistic; she
always raises today’s issues, such as the saving of historical memory as a subjective evaluative ancestral source,
the motivation of young people to learn their native culture. The article reviews the genre and thematic diversity
of the young writer’s work, shows her active civic position, participation in local and regional projects, which
promote the native culture among the Russian-speaking
population.
