The Girl is a Pearl

Abstract

The article tells about a small rural school in
Dnipropetrovsk region, its system of work with gifted
children.
Kytajgorodska secondary school of I−III degrees
is one of the educational institutions of the Tomakivka
united territorial community. It is famous for talented
students, successful graduates. The author reveals the
directions of the school’s work with gifted children. One
of them is participation in the regional project “Scientific
and methodological principles of creating an innovative
STEM − education model.” Much attention is paid to
work with primary schoolchildren. Teaching additional
courses for grades 1−4 is “Elements of Geometry”,
“Rhetoric”, “Eureka”. Training on the All − Ukrainian
scientific and pedagogical project “Intellect of Ukraine",
which is based on the principles of a competent approach
to STEM − education, has begun. This direction in work
gives the chance to develop the child’s creative abilities
from an early age.
Kytajgorodska schoolchildren are participants of
MAN, various competitions. Numerous victories, awards
of the students and interesting meetings with outstanding
people are listed. Such a system in the students, teachers,
and parents’ work and activity promotes the development
of talent.
The author of the article tells about the large family
Kheylo, where out of four children, three are recognized
as gifted individuals. Aliona Kheylo is a foreign language
expert, and Victoria Kheylo has graphic and design skills.
Parents support their children in every possible way,
provide assistance. Mom and Dad are active participants
in school activities. The family constantly presents
collective works at district and regional art competitions.
The teacher is most impressed by her little student
of the 3rd grade of NUS, Veronica Kheylo, a girl who
is a pearl. She has a talent for singing, reciting poems,
foreign languages. The girl is a winner of the Peter Jatcyk
Language Competition (the 1st place).
The girl is fond of handmade products. Veronica
attends two school clubs. She can knite, make beadwork,
three-dimensional paper work. Often surprises with
paper flowers. The girl creates her own master classes
on making products and shares with her friends in the
classroom. Her works take part in regional competitions
and have Winner’s Diplomas.
The author’s great ability is also caused by the
girl’s organizational abilities. She is a host of holidays,
excursions, exhibitions. She is an active singer at concerts
in the village House of Culture, school events. She is a
good helper for parents and class teacher. The teacher is
proud of such a good little friend
