Abstract

The purpose of creating the author's program “Fundamentals of Ecological Knowledge 10th Grade” is to deepen
students' knowledge of scientific knowledge about the environment as a complex system of natural components, processes occurring in nature under the influence of anthropogenic human activities.
Today, one of the urgent tasks of the teacher is to bring
to the attention of students, starting from the primary
grades of the new Ukrainian school, the importance of environmental protection, preservation of unique landscapes,
rare plants and animals of Ukraine, native land, preservation of the planetary natural complex of the Geographical
shell. Reasonable organization of the interaction of society
and nature is one of the most acute and urgent global problems of today.
The author's program contains an innovative nature and
practical significance, namely – environmental education of
young people begins in childhood. The teacher must have a
deep knowledge of environmental problems on Earth, ways
to successfully solve them, understand and improve methods
and techniques of teaching and educating young people in
environmental culture, to cultivate initiative and entrepreneurship, social and civic competence, environmental literacy and healthy living. Particular importance is attached
to the creation of a system of lessons of research nature, the
formation of STEM competencies of young people through
practical work.
The work is designed to study nature protection by students of higher educational institutions, teachers of geography, biology, ecology, university students. It is offered for use
in lessons of geography, biology, ecology during studying of
the Geographical cover, the nature of Ukraine, native land,
as local lore material, in extracurricular actions.
