The article presents the results of many years of
experience of valeology and biology groups in studying
the topics “Health Diagnostics” or “Valeological
Diagnostics”. It is proved that the formation of
valeological competence should be carried out with
the help of laboratory work to determine the vital index
of a person and biological age. An algorithm for using
the vital capacity of the lungs and the vital index of a
person for valeodiagnostics is presented. The concept
of “biological age” is specified, the method of its
definition in the conditions of group work is given, the
results are quantitatively and qualitatively presented.
The main groups of conditions influencing
biological age are considered, the results of
questionnaires among groups to determine the
probable life expectancy are analyzed. The paper also
considers information on the state of health of the club
members, presents the algorithm of valeodiagnostics
through the indicators of human vital index, maximum
oxygen consumption, biological age. The possibilities
of using valeodiagnostic methods in students' research
works in the context of determining the influence of
environmental factors on the biological age of man
are reflected. The pedagogical experiment conducted
by the authors allows to evaluate the effectiveness of
the proposed didactic material
