Abstract

Provisions of the Ukrainian legislation on the legal
status of fighters for the independence of Ukraine in the
XX Century have been updated. Using the materials of
the mass media, some episodes of public and political
activity during 30 years of professor V. Tymenko,
the veteran of the People's Movement of Ukraine
for Reconstruction, were reproduced. Journalistic
publications, electronic resources, archival materials,
museum exhibits were used. Emphasis is placed on
the spiritual component, on the concept of “Ukrainian
Spiritual Republic”, which should be built in the essence
of every Ukrainian ethnophore.
A description of V. Tymenko's active public activity as
a teacher at a rural school, and then a People's Deputy
of the period of the “turbulent 90s” was made. Quotes
from the speeches of the deputy-mover at the session
tribune of Boryspil district council are given.
In addition to deputy work in local authorities,
considerable attention is paid to volunteer work of
V. Tymenko as a co-organizer of the national-democratic
movement in Donetsk in the 1990s. In particular, quotes
from newspaper publications in Donetsk and Kyiv about
the activities of V. Tymenko, about blocking of the people's
democratic movement by the local authorities, which he
organized with his comrades in the Donetsk region.
The professor's party, educational and state awards
are highlighted in separate paragraphs, as well as
a reference is made to the Museum of the Ukrainian
Resistance in the Boryspil Region (1917–1991), where
its exhibit are also housed.
A copy of the interview of the correspondent of the
newspaper “Visti” from Boryspil region about the scientific
and educational priorities of Professor V. Tymenko was
also taken from Internet resources – individual vision
of independence; infinity of the Ukrainian liberation
movement and the reasons for the current state of affairs
in the country; passionate conception of ethnogenesis
by L. Gumilev; religious and mystical teachings of
R. Steiner; psychotypes of the Little Russians according
to P. Chubynsky.
In addition, students' feedback on their teacher from
Facebook, who have been following his activities for the
past thirty years, was taken.
