In this article, the author presents an attempt to explore the ontology of giftedness in terms of its resource dimension. Resources for the development of giftedness are considered as an integral part of human life and the spheres in which it takes place: the biosphere, the sociosphere, and the noosphere. The author considers an initiative human individual to be the subject of integration of bio-, socio- and noo-spheres within the framework of its functioning and involvement for its improvement, and thus the development of its abilities, including such a most perfect model of them as giftedness, all their rich resources. The individual's ability to take initiative, manifested both in spontaneous forms and in forms of purposeful intentions, is deeply rooted in human nature, which has been formed in the process of its evolution in the bio-, socio- and noo-spheres, and is determined by the laws that define the order of functioning in these spheres. One of these laws is the law of fertility. The activity aimed at achieving the conformity of human existence to the imperatives of the law of fertility is ensured by the system of human abilities. Without abilities, such compliance is impossible. The functional meaning of the phenomenon of giftedness as an association of abilities is to create opportunities for performing this task at the highest possible level in terms of criteria of excellence and quantitative productivity. Giftedness is a tool for produ ctive activity.
The article presents the results of an analysis of the resources for the functioning and development of giftedness. It substantiates the idea that they are inextricably linked to human nature and all aspects of its organization, primarily with such fundamental dimensions of existence as orientation, survival, adaptation, and generation. The motivation and activity of an individual according to the algorithms of these dimensions opens up access to the resources they contain and the possibility of their involvement in the processes of development and functioning of the system of his abilities. The article contains a description of the types of resources for the development and functioning of giftedness. Their structure consists of groups of biological, social, and noological resources. They are divided into external and internal resources. According to the criterion of locality in the system of organization of the human individual, a group of deep resources and a group of resources of operational access are distinguished in the structure of resources for the development of giftedness. Deep resources are associated with the action of functional mechanisms of general biological and specific algorithms of existence for the human individual, which are contained in the human genome and the deep layers of his psyche, nominated with the help of categories of individual and collective unconscious. The group of readily accessible resources includes resources whose role and significance in the development of giftedness constitute the potential of the collective culture of ability development. Internal resources are divided into physiological and psychological resources. Psychological resources are divided into subgroups of cognitive, affective, personal resources, and resources of the attitude system. Resources in these subgroups have their own internal stratification. For example, the subgroup of cognitive resources consists of the resources of mental processes of sensation, perception, memory, thinking, intellect, attention, imagination, and the phenomena they produce—ideas, thoughts, beliefs, conceptual images and constructs, etc. Psychological resources are decisive in the set of resources for the development of giftedness, given their peculiarity that it is through their filters that the implementation of all other types of resources takes place.
