Abstract

Pedagogical conditions for patriotic upbringing of
young schoolchildren by means of Ukrainian folklore
are developed in the article. The functioning of the
Ukrainian system in Ukraine in the past and now
on the basis of national identity is characterized as
its defining substantive constant. The essence of the
concept of patriotism in the national Ukrainian context
is revealed. It is emphasized that patriotism is the metaidea
of the Ukrainian educational ideal. Patriotism
as a concept is interpreted as a holistic spiritual and
moral quality, a worldview and psychological feature
of an individual, which is characterized by cultural
foundations.
A number of principles of patriotic education of
the individual have been defined: the principle of
humanization and democratization of the educational
process; the principle of self¬activity and self-regulation;
the principle of complexity and interdisciplinary
integration; the principle of continuity and continuity;
the principle of cultural compatibility; the principle of
interculturality. It is noted that the formation of patriotic
values in the younger generation is one of the tasks of the
modem school. Patriotic upbringing involves all cognitive
abilities of the child through the emotional component –
attitude and reaction, which belong to the emotional and
sensory sphere of the individual. The process of patriotic
education of younger schoolchildren is based on the
use of methods of communication and interaction that
are familiar to them, which were formed in them in the
preschool period. The statement that purposeful work
on patriotic education of children of primary school age
involves projecting the result by the teacher, analyzing
the situation that arises at various stages of the musical
creative process is substantiated. The first group of
conditions is defined as informational and cognitive. The
second group of conditions is formulated as emotional and
evaluative. The third group of conditions is characterized
as activity-creative. The fourth group of conditions is
presented as project-prognostic.
