Organization of Publication Activities of Young Researchers using Open Journal Systems

The article presents the interim results of the project “Scientific and methodological support for creating an electronic open access journal for publishing the results of scientific activities of students of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” for the joint program of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine for 2021–2023. The results of the analysis of the indicators of publishing activity of researchers are presented and importance in the professional activity of the scientist is noted. The chosen publication model of the electronic open journal is substantiated and uniqueness in comparison with traditional scientific electronic editions is determined, which is based on the use of the principle of gamification, which involves students in the double-blind review procedure. The benefits of using the Open Journal Systems platform, which deploys an electronic edition, have been identified. Systematized organizational tasks of the preparatory stage, namely: research of organizational and pedagogical model of using the electronic journal, research of organizational and methodological principles and separately pedagogical principles of gamification of scientific education through publishing activities on the OJS platform. The article also comments on some important aspects of the Journal's Regulations on the Ethics of Publications.
