The Essence of Technical Skills as a Form of Implementation of the Content of Education of a Scientifc Focus

Abstract

The article focuses attention on the development of scientifc education, which encourages the increasing relevance of technical skills as components of research  activity in the preparation of an intellectual person, capable of conducting scientifc research, navigating the rapid flow of information, ready for its analysis, comparison, systematization and critical evaluation. In view of this, the goal of the content of scientifc education is to provide for the formation of a complex of research skills, among which the leading place belongs to technical skills.

The results of study by students of educational subjects (courses) taking into account the study profle and feld of knowledge are: specialized factual and theoretical knowledge in accordance with the selected study profle, taking into account modern achievements of science; understanding of the main principles, processes and concepts of the chosen study profle; the ability to perform research educational tasks typical for the chosen study profle by choosing and applying basic methods, tools, materials and information; the ability to evaluate the results of the performance of research educational tasks in accordance with predetermined criteria.

The author reveals the essence of technical skills as a form of implementation of the content of scientifc education, which consists in ensuring the readiness of students for the practical application of relevant procedures related to work on literature and other information in the process of implementation of the content of scientifc education as a purposeful activity, contributes to the production of new knowledge, which are acquired on the basis of the effective use of technical skills as a necessary condition for training a future researcher, characterized by a high level of their formation.

The article indicates the conditions for obtaining a specialized education in a scientifc direction, among which the leading one is equipping students with technical skills provided by educational programs for the integral implementation of research activities thanks to the integration of educational and scientifc components of the educational process in order to prepare gifted students for scientifc activities. 

The author proves the importance of technical skills that are formed in the process of acquiring scientifc knowledge, through the implementation of educational programs related to scientifc knowledge of world pictures, which strengthens the connection between acquired educational and scientifc knowledge, as well as interest in mastering research skills necessary for scientifc work.  This means that the implementation of the standard of specialized scientifc education involves perfect mastery of technical skills acquired by students in the process of performing research tasks, exercises related to work on literary sources. 

The article focuses on the requirements for technical skills provided for by the standard of specialized education in the scientifc direction, which are considered from two angles: the frst is the analysis and comparison of information structured according to fve content subdivisions; the second – search and processing of literature and other necessary information, consisting of four subdivisions.

It is indicated the need to develop the content of the levels of technical skills and the criteria for their formation in high school students in the process of implementing educational programs
