In the face of social and global challenges in recent years, brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and the full-scale invasion of Russia, the importance of distance learning in preschool educational institutions has gained increasing significance. Digital technologies offer various learning platforms, video materials, and interactive games that can be adapted to the needs of preschoolers. This facilitates the development of different aspects of learning using modern multimedia tools.
The purpose of this article is to review the main issues and prospects for the development of rhythm sense in musically gifted older preschool children in the context of online interaction.
Special attention is given to the methods of forming musical and rhythmic perception in gifted preschoolers, which contributes to the harmonious development of their musical ear and creative potential.
Key aspects of both synchronous and asynchronous distance learning formats are considered. In particular, the impact of these formats on the musical development of preschoolers is analyzed, considering their emotional state, level of engagement, and ability to work independently.
In addition, significant attention is paid to the integration of digital tools into the educational process of modern preschool institutions, allowing for the creation of more engaging and meaningful interactive tasks for the development of children’s musical abilities.
The article also provides practical advice for preschool educators and parents on how to best organize the process of distance learning to develop rhythm sense in musically gifted children. The importance of involving parents in the educational process is separately emphasized, as their support is a necessary component for the successful development of the child’s musical talent.
Furthermore, the article includes a detailed description of an interactive exercise aimed at developing musical-rhythmic hearing and memory in older preschool children using modern tools of the digital educational environment. The proposed exercise can be used both during distance learning sessions and in a close family setting at home.
