The scientific literature highlighting the specifics of the use of methods for determining a person's daily motor activity has been analyzed. It was established that the proper amount of motor activity is an important component of human health, which contributes to the optimal functioning of the body, prevents diseases of the cardiovascular system and the musculoskeletal system. Regulatory documents highlighting the specifics of training cadets at the Higher Secondary School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine were considered.
Students of higher education of the National Academy of Internal Affairs of the 3rd year, recruitment of 2020, majoring in “Law enforcement” (n = 56) took part in the study. On the basis of the conducted research, a comparative analysis of the motor activity index and daily energy expenditure of future law enforcement officers during educational activities and internships was carried out. To determine the studied indicators, the Framingham method was used, which is based on the registration of types of activities during the day and allows to obtain complete information about the duration of a specific type of activity and rest, a combination of physical exertion of different intensities, the total duration of various types of activities and the amount of energy expenditure.
Processing of maps of registration of physical activity of cadets proved the difference in the types of motor activity during different staмges of training, which are caused by the features of individual stages. A significant difference was found in the studied indicators during educational activities and internships (р < 0.05). It was established that during educational activities, cadets spent 2570.9 ± 32.6 kcal during the day, the motor activity index was 33.09±0.44 points. In the conditions of the internship, 2710.6 ± 33.1 kcal of daily energy expenditure was recorded, the motor activity index was 34.96 ± 0.46 points.
Prospects for further research consist in determining and conducting a comparative analysis of indicators of motor activity of students of higher education in the conditions of distance and face-to-face education.
