COMPLAINTS AND APPEALS
The editorial board of the scientific and methodological journal "Education and Development of Gifted Personality" aims to respond promptly and constructively to all complaints, guided by the algorithms of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). To submit a complaint or suggestion, a letter must be sent to the editorial email address (iod.ukraine@gmail.com) with a clear description of the violation (detection of plagiarism, data manipulation, or conflict of interest). The complaint must be concise, clearly formulated, and contain sufficient information to substantiate a potential breach of publication ethics principles. Whenever possible, it should be accompanied by documents, materials, or links that confirm the stated facts and claims. The complaint must include the full name and contact details of the applicant; anonymous complaints will not be accepted.
The review procedure involves a detailed analysis of each appeal, considering its content, nature, and level of complexity. The Editorial Board ensures the confidentiality of both the complainant and the individual being complained about until the formal review is completed. All appeals are considered within thirty calendar days. However, in cases of increased complexity, the timeframe for a final decision may be extended. Following the review, the complainant will be notified of the decision, which may involve the rejection of the manuscript, the issuance of corrections, or the retraction of an already published article.
The Editorial Board reserves the right to refuse to consider an appeal if it is submitted in an abusive, threatening, or defamatory manner. Repeated appeals that do not contain new circumstances or evidence will not be accepted for consideration. The final decision regarding the results of a complaint is made by the Editor-in-Chief in conjunction with the Editorial Board.
