У статті здійснено аналіз іноземних джерел за проблемою особистісного потенціалу обдарованих дітей юнацького
віку як предмету психологічного дослідження. Розглянуто концептуальні положення низки іноземних вчених, які є провідними науковцями Американської національної асоціації обдарованих дітей, Каліфорнійського університету в Берклі, університету Північної Кароліни в Чапел-Хіллі, Центру політики в галузі освіти для обдарованих імені Естер Кац Розен,
Єльського університету, Техаської асоціації обдарованих і талановитих дітей юнацького віку та ін.
